According to in Switzerland, a combination of factors could contribute to Trossard being sold with just a year left on his Gunners contract. That's despite his happiness at the Emirates Stadium and a desire to stay, rather than starting afresh somewhere new going into 2025-26.

Trossard was previously expected to sign a new contract with Arsenal to extend his stay beyond 2026, but the former Brighton man has been through a change of agent that has thrown initial talks into doubt. Arsenal are also now operating under new sporting director Andrea Berta, instead of the departed Edu Gaspar, which has brought new ideas and the possibility of more competition – like from Noni Madueke – for places.
