Joshua Kimmich's powerful header in the 63rd-minute settled the tie and sent the Germans into the semi-finals after a 3-2 aggregate win. After the match, Gunners supporters took to social media to lament their second defeat in a matter of days following their 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Arsenal fan Joe tweeted: "Incredible how your whole season can be over in a week," while Kijana Ya Atwoli wrote: "No good goal attempts today, we need a number 9. Out of the Champions League, we fumbled the Premier League, too. Am so embarrassed with my team. Another trophyless season."
In response to Arsenal's official X (formerly Twitter) account tweeting: "A Champions League journey to be proud of," Gunners fans responded in furious fashion.
Weffrey Jellington tweeted: "A champions league journey to be proud of would be I don’t know…actually winning the trophy," and King.sol replied: "Proud of failure?"
GuBtavo added: "2nd half against Aston Villa. 2nd half against Bayern Munich. We have not been our normal selves. Arteta has to get the house in order as we fight for the league."

Arsenal's hopes of winning the Champions League are over and the Premier League title is no longer in their hands after losing to Villa, with Manchester City now top of the pile. After all their progress and impressive performances, this could be another trophyless season for Mikel Arteta's men.
