Juventus went on to be beaten in the quarter-finals by Real Madrid, who have since reached the final, where they will play Liverpool.
The rivalry between Spurs and the Reds recently ramped up after Mohamed Salah appeared to mock Harry Kane’s attempts to boost his goal tally in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
The Tottenham striker claimed that Christian Eriksen’s winning goal against Stoke City brushed his shoulder, and the Premier League later awarded it to Kane.
After Liverpool secured their place in the Champions League final with a 7-6 aggregate win over Roma, Spurs fans had plenty to say on Twitter.
