Luis Enrique's summer signing scored his third goal for the club to snatch a win, and send his side six points clear at the top of the table.
Finally, Randal Kolo Muani got his moment. The French striker, bought at the request of Kylian Mbappe, hasn't quite settled in Paris — and was awaiting a signature goal in the capital. On Saturday evening, it arrived, the former Nantes striker scoring in the 85th minute to give his new team a 2-1 win.
A much-changed PSG side lacked its usual cutting edge, but an opener from the impressive Bradley Barcola, and second from Kolo Muani, did enough to cancel out a well-worked Nantes goal in between the two.
Barcola woke the game up for the Parisians. The winger, making just his fifth Ligue 1 start, bagged his first PSG goal in style, with a fine curled effort across the Nantes goalkeeper to give his side an advantage shortly before half time. But the visitors responded after the break. Mostafa Mohamed provided it, meeting a corner at the near post with a drilled headed effort.
The Parisians toiled for long stretches after that. They struggled to create in the final third, while the substitutes didn't offer much, either. But then, Kolo Muani had his say. His finish wasn't a technical one — just the poke of an alert striker to hand his team three points when it seemed a frustrating draw was looming.
Asensio should have put the contest beyond doubt, but shanked an effort over the bar. Still, it mattered little, as Luis Enrique's side snatched what could be an important win.
GOAL rates PSG's players from Parc des Princes…
Goalkeeper & Defence
Arnau Tenas (6/10):
Started in place of the suspended Gianluigi Donnarumma. Will feel he could have gotten a hand on the equaliser. Made a few nice saves otherwise.
Achraf Hakimi (6/10):
Got forward well, linked up with the midfield. A couple of better runs from his attackers, and he might have ended the night with a couple of assists.
Marquinhos (7/10):
A solid run-out on his return from injury. Didn't do anything wrong, and will likely play all 90 minutes midweek.
Danilo Pereira (6/10):
A good shift at the back. As always, an agreeable backup to eat up minutes.
Lucas Hernandez (5/10):
Caught flat footed on the Nantes equaliser. Wasn't exactly world-beating going the other way, either.

Manuel Ugarte (6/10):
A solid presence at defensive midfield, even if he passes sideways too much.
Carlos Soler (5/10):
Kept the ball moving, but was almost entirely anonymous in an attacking sense. Strange that Luis Enrique trusts him so much.
Vitinha (6/10):
Grabbed himself a much-deserved start after a flurry of top performances off the bench. Didn't quite seize the moment, though.

Lee Kang-In (6/10):
Full of industry and skill, but his final ball wasn't always there.
Kylian Mbappe (6/10):
Finally got to play in the more central position he has been after. Dangerous as usual, can feel hard done by not to have been awarded a penalty.
Bradley Barcola (7/10):
Given a chance to impress after being removed as a substitute early last week. Scored a wonderful goal.

Milan Skriniar (6/10):
A planned 30 minute run-out with a big game against Dortmund looming.
Warren Zaire-Emery (6/10):
A surprise return from the youngster, who seemed set for a long lay-off after spraining his ankle. A vital piece of defensive work prevented a late Nantes winner.
Ousmane Dembele (5/10):
Ran at the defence. Saw a nice effort saved
Randal Kolo Muani (8/10):
Bagged a late winner. Hopefully it kickstarts his Parisian career.
Marco Asensio (N/A):
Missed an open goal in his only major involvement.
Luis Enrique (7/10):
Rotated heavily, bringing in Barcola, Vitinha and Lee. PSG were surprisingly flat, while Mbappe was uncharacteristically quiet for long stretches. Still got the three points, with Kolo Muani bagging the big goal. Not exactly inspirational, but good enough.
