The 23-year-old, who struggled to replicate his impressive form from Borussia Dortmund after moving to the Premier League in 2021, has faced challenges under manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch tactician banished Sancho from the first-team squad following a public fallout in September, leading to speculations about a January transfer.

However, Leipzig are apprehensive of Sancho's £17 million-a-year salary and the figure could pose a challenge to any potential move. Barcelona and Juventus are also monitoring Sancho's situation but it is unlikely that they would match his wage demands unless he agrees to take a massive pay cut.
