For the second Euros in a row, Saka suffered heartbreak in the final as England lost 2-1 to Spain, three years on from their penalty shootout defeat to Italy. However, while the Arsenal star was gutted about the loss, the 22-year-old struck an optimistic tone about the Three Lions' future.

He wrote on Instagram: "It’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling right now. But to all the fans, thank you for your incredible support throughout the tournament. You followed us across Germany and showed us love every where we went. We really appreciate you.
