The 33-year-old pulled up with swelling around his thigh ahead of Santos' trip to Bahia in the Brazilian Serie A on Sunday, according to GE Globo. The report states that Santos have made the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) aware of the complaint, though they have yet to confirm the issue publicly. Neymar was already unavailable for the game against Bahia due to a suspension for yellow card accumulation.

Should Neymar be set for a spell on the sidelines, it would compound what has been a miserable few weeks for the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain attacker. He was reduced to tears after Santos lost a relegation clash against Vasco da Gama 6-0 last weekend, with manager Cleber Xavier later being sacked following the result.
DID YOU KNOW?
Neymar is yet to feature for Brazil since their appointment of former Real Madrid, Milan and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti in May, with the Italian citing recurring injury issues as the reason why he decided to leave the forward out of his first squad as manager.
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR BRAZIL?
It remains to be seen whether Ancelotti will include Neymar in the squad for Brazil's double header against Chile and Bolivia in September. The Selecao secured their place at the 2026 World Cup next summer with a 1-0 victory over Paraguay in June.
