A number of Liverpool fans have called for their club to sign Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona in this summer’s transfer window, following a report by AS that the La Liga champions are ready to move 10 players on.
Umtiti was outstanding during his first two seasons at Camp Nou, but has fallen behind Clement Lenglet in the pecking order this term after finding it difficult to overcome a troublesome knee problem.
The 25-year-old has been linked with Arsenal ahead of the summer, but a number of Liverpool supporters want their club to move for the Frenchman.
It has not quite been the campaign that Umtiti would have wanted.
The centre-back has proved his ability over the last few years, though, and played a key role in France winning the 2018 World Cup.
It will be very interesting to see what happens with the 6 ft ace this summer, but the Liverpool fans are hopeful that their club will take the opportunity to sign him.
